Introducing your 2023 speaker...

Jen Hill, B & M Longworth

Longworth is an innovation tech company, specialising in bringing sustainability through reclamation technology and allowing for multiple lifecycles from challenging waste materials, Jen strongly feels that the UK composites industry can succeed, through collaboration and true partnership, with the backing of a sound and proactive trade association. “By pulling together we can onshore advanced material production, optimise reuse, reduce import/supply chain issues and improve the UK’s export potential, all while leading on sustainability in composites. With a rare mix of commercial and sustainability focus – Jen’s role within Longworth is nurturing strategic partnerships; with an understanding that while we all strive for circularity, it MUST bring commercial benefit. In recent years this role has afforded Jen valuable relationships and knowledge surrounding environmental practice, waste legislation and various markets’ drive to net zero, both domestic and foreign. A Board Director of Composites UK, member of the British Plastics Federation, British Chambers of Commerce, Make UK and Made in Britain and a voluntary board member for a number of universities and enterprise agencies, Jen’s can-do approach and passion for the UK to lead in enabling the net zero agenda is contagious.
