Warwick Formula Student Car

Warwick Racing, with a proud 22-year history, is the University of Warwick’s Formula Student team. Each year, the team designs, builds, and tests a high-performance electric race car to compete in the Formula Student UK competition held at Silverstone Circuit in July. ThrustWSH Speed Record Boat Prototype

Richard Noble and his teams have been setting World Land Speed records for over 40 years. For 4 years they have be researching ground breaking technology to challenge for the most dangerous record of all – the Water Speed Record. Key to success is stability and control of the 20,500Ib thrust Spey jet powered craft. A world first use of super-cavitating microfoils will be tested using a quarter scale fully autonomous test boat late this year/early next year.

Southampton University Formula Student Team (“SUFST”) is a student-run organisation comprised of undergraduates across multiple disciplines, from all years of study. The team design, build, test, and ultimately race an electric single-seater race car, competing internationally against other universities, primarily at our home circuit of Silverstone for Formula Student UK. This year, the team is developing its fourth electric vehicle, focusing on improving battery design, refining the carbon fibre monocoque, and creating a more efficient aerodynamics package.
