An innovative Single A-pillar Vehicle Closures (SAPVC) technology featuring a patent-pending A-pillar door design enhances driver visibility, safety, and convenience. The Ceiba hypercar utilizes a single central A-post, replacing traditional dual A-post structures to minimize visibility obstructions and significantly expand the driver’s field of view. This unique single A-post door design creates a larger entryway, allowing for easier, more upright access.
SAPVC design not only improves ease of entry but also boosts vehicle rigidity by strategically positioning the A-pillar and door mechanisms, which contributes to enhanced handling and overall performance.
For added luxury and convenience, the door is cleverly linked to a custom steering wheel. Upon opening the door, the steering wheel automatically adjusts, facilitating driver entry and exit. To close, the driver simply pulls the steering wheel back to its original position, and the door closes seamlessly while the wheel returns to its driving position. This is achieved with a simple mechanical connection—eliminating the need for complex servo systems typically found in luxury vehicles, such as those by Mercedes-Benz.
