Scottish Engineering, the industry membership and representative body for manufacturing and engineering in Scotland, has been announced as the Headline Sponsor of the annual Scotland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition, which is being held at the SEC Glasgow on 23rd – 24th October 2024.
The event will serve as a national forum in order to successfully connect key stakeholders across the full manufacturing and engineering supply chain spectrum in Scotland including energy, renewables, transportation, aerospace/space, marine, security, electronics, food and drink, biopharma, medtech, construction and textiles.
The Government of Scotland is committed to continuing to improve productivity and increase investment in the manufacturing industry, as a means of helping to redress regional imbalances, and in order to grow the Scottish economy. Initiatives such as the development of the National Manufacturing Institute for Scotland (NMIS) and the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre (MMIC) are helping to drive innovation, establish links with academia, and encourage businesses to harness new technologies to enhance efficiency.
Event organiser, Premier Publishing & Events, has been staging similar exhibitions and conferences in England and Ireland for many years. An impressive line-up of manufacturing leaders, academics, and government agencies who will engage in a stimulating blend of keynote addresses and debates is being assembled for the Scottish event.
