Description

Over the years, MTAG have manufactured automotive parts for a variety of uses including a long history of produced parts for the bus and coach industries in the UK, fuel-saving aerodynamic packages for commercial vehicles and motorsport parts for global leaders in track-day cars – Radical Sportscars.

We offer parts manufactured though handlay, vacuum bag infusion and VARTM, offering a balance between cost efficiency and performance and can minimise up-front investment in tooling using our in-house mould making capacity. We supply external and internal parts, insulated battery covers, EV battery housings, partitions, flooring, fairings and bodywork, wings and splitters and seat modules which can be supplied in a high quality gelcoat or painted finish.

More recently, MTAG have been able to develop a cost effective ‘out of autoclave’ visual carbon fibre technique to produce a high quality finish for low volume parts. The process uses our in-house composite tooling removing the need for autoclaves and solid tooling and parts can be lacquered to provide UV protection in a variety of finishes.

In addition, we are proud to have manufactured GRP bodywork used in the creation of a Ford GT40 replica used on set in the making of ‘Le Mans ‘66’ staring Christian Bale and Matt Damon. The two kits were made from legacy Lola Mark6 moulds (on which the GT40 is based) which were gathered from around the UK and restored to provide a complete kit for the GT40. Supplied to Race Car Replicas in the US, the parts were added to rolling chassis for use in the much acclaimed Hollywood move about the Ford V Ferrari fight in the 60’s.
