GWP Group is now part of the Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR). This certification provides businesses in the aerospace, defence, security, and space sectors with a clear overview of GWP’s commitment to quality and following industry standards and best practices.

JOSCAR accreditation is essential for some of the largest purchasers in the defence community, and GWP will now feature on a database of firms achieving the certification. This presence indicates to companies within these specific sectors that GWP has systems, processes, and quality control to supply protective packaging products to these markets.

JOSCAR is effectively a single repository with pre-qualification and compliance information. Essentially, using JOSCAR determines if a supplier is fit to supply into these extremely demanding industries

JOSCAR is an accreditation system for suppliers operating in the defence, aerospace and security sectors.

The system is a cross-sector collaboration aimed at improving the efficiency of both the supplier and buyer communities. It achieves this by ensuring business benefit from the highest quality products (that comply with industry best practices).

As a result, it allows large contractors such as BAE Systems, Thales and QinetiQ (amongst others) to trade with pre-qualified organisations with confidence in their abilities and processes.

Besides this, JOSCAR provides access to a centralised supplier database, with participants having an online profile.

The scheme is managed by Hellios, a supplier information and risk management company with over 30 years of experience within these sectors.

Hellios collects, validates and monitors the supplier information provided by participants in the scheme, creating a single pool of accurate and up-to-date supplier information.
