Senior Technical Manager / Engineer

Qualifications & Experience Experienced composite professional, demonstrable experience in pre-preg hand layup techniques, 10+ years’ experience. Engineering qualification, degree, HND in a relevant subject/discipline Experience of training, developing, or mentoring of junior colleagues within composites manufacturing. Experienced in working with and aiding in the development of tooling Composites and composite manufacturing processes. Experience in a commercial environment, producing quotations, and negotiating with clients. Knowledge of lean and constant manufacturing principles and tools. Stakeholder, Customers Relationship Management, and Management skills PC Proficient, Good MS Word, Excel and Power Point skills and CAD knowledge are an advantage, not essential

Job Purpose:
Role an experienced composites professional with significant hands-on knowledge of advanced composite
component and tooling manufacturing processes, best practices, and improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Nurture client relationships, both existing and new.
First Technical point of contact for clients, assisting with their product development, helping to determine best
route for manufacture, advising on the tooling strategy, component manufacturing processes, materials, etc.
Provide technical/process/materials/subcomponentry/cycles/time inputs for the RFQ’s for clients in
consultation with UK and Indian teams.
Lead composite manufacturing process from tooling design strategy, tooling manufacturing, laminate design,
defining BoM as the first article or prototype. Working closely with CTO, NPI Engineer, Design and Process
Engineering teams in India to introduce for existing as well as new customers.
Being involved in developing processes for new and upcoming programs and projects
Continually identify and lead composite manufacturing processes and best practices improvements at the India
factory.
Assist in development of future processes to enable the continued growth of our manufacturing capabilities.
Provide both hands-on, virtual and classroom trainings staff on composite manufacturing processes.

Technical support for the engineering and manufacturing teams.
Act as Customer/Supplier interface on specific projects.
Quarterly visits to plant in Surat, India for 15-20 days as a minimum. In the beginning, you may have to travel more to
understand the company, manufacturing, technology and developing relationship.
Travel to Europe, USA, or worldwide for customer visits; represent at exhibitions, trade shows and conferences if
required.
