Production Operative

A production operative will be responsible for their daily Production output, including Masking of components, loading of jigging, carrying out and monitoring the electroplating/anodizing processes in accordance with processing requirements.

Quality and Technical Support Engineer

We are a busy, and rapidly growing, sourcing company, operating in the mechanical engineering / manufacturing market sector. We specialise in sourcing and supplying bespoke mechanical components and sub assemblies, manufactured to drawing.

Qualifications & Experience
Experienced composite professional, demonstrable experience in pre-preg hand layup techniques, 10+ years’ experience.
Engineering qualification, degree, HND in a relevant subject/discipline
Experience of training, developing, or mentoring of junior colleagues within composites manufacturing.
Experienced in working with and aiding in the development of tooling Composites and composite manufacturing processes.
Experience in a commercial environment, producing quotations, and negotiating with clients.
Knowledge of lean and constant manufacturing principles and tools.
Stakeholder, Customers Relationship Management, and Management skills
PC Proficient, Good MS Word, Excel and Power Point skills and CAD knowledge are an advantage, not essential

Technical Support Engineer

Technical Support Engineer

A fantastic opportunity to join an established and growing company located in the centre of Birmingham with a strong reputation in the automotive and test industry. Sorion is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide in-house and on-site customer support services as well as undertaking commissioning and testing for Sorion’s products. This ranges from electronic test systems, robotics, and manufacturing systems to embedded electrical and IOT applications.

The main role of the Technical Support Engineer is to provide both in-house and on-site support for Sorion equipment, and includes the following:

Pre-install testing & commissioning of Sorion systems / equipment
Remote and on-site customer support
Documentation of customer facilities
Routine system checks
Fault diagnosis and repairs
Problem solving and resolution using Sorion software
Out of hours support to our customers on a rota basis.

Test Support Engineer

Test Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity for a Test Support Engineer has arisen in Testia Ltd Filton. You will work
within the Testia customer structures test centre based in Bristol, UK.

The Job holder puts together all constituent elements of the Test Setup (specimen, rig, loading
devices, and Data Acquisition); is proficient in the operation of workshop equipment (inc. Lathes,
Milling Machines, Pillar Drills etc.), including ability to perform welding in various materials and ensure
efficient test performance.

Yardperson and Effluent Plant Operator

Main Responsibilities
Monitoring and reporting
Taking daily utilities meter readings
Assisting with store stock takes as required.
Carry of daily, Weekly and monthly standard work to include routine daily checks and cleaning of the production oiling bay and degreasing plant.
Effluent:

Daily start up and shutdown of both plants.
Running of the filter press, draining of settlement tanks, monitoring of the ‘V’ notch tank.
Regeneration of the de-min plant.
Ensure all the reagent tanks are ‘topped up’ to ensure compliant running of these plants.
Environmental:

Daily start up and shutdown of both plants.
Aid in the monitoring of all environmental aspects including carrying out utilities meter readings (Water, Gas, and Electricity)
Aid in ensuring the company is compliant with all regulatory requirements including EPR (Environmental Permitting Regulations) and Discharge Consents.
Perform other regular daily/weekly checks as required.
