The Electrification Skills Training Programme

About us

The Electrification Skills Training Programme is an initiative developed through a strategic partnership between academic providers Coventry University and North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, and leading
industry partners.

Funded by Innovate UK under the SD-APT (Scalable Delivery of Applied Power Electronics, Machines and Drives) Training project, this programme unites a diverse array of organisations renowned for their expertise in Power Electronics, Machines, and Drives (PEMD). The collaboration aims to address the sector’s skills gap by delivering a set of comprehensive training programmes, designed to equip participants with the necessary skills to excel in the rapidly evolving field of electrification.

The Electrification Skills Training Programme is comprised of three training programmes at fundamentals, intermediate and advance. All programmes are available for delivery at Coventry University, North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College or at business premises across the UK. Mobile labs developed as part of the project allow for practical hands on experience as well as theoretical learning.
