Atlas Copco to showcase Smart Factory transformation with key strategic partners at Advanced Engineering Show

Aimed at supporting manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers in the transition to fully connected smart manufacturing, Atlas Copco Tools & Industrial Assembly Solutions will be showcasing its Smart Factory philosophy at this year’s Advanced Engineering Show.

Joining Atlas Copco on its stand will be representatives from three of Britain’s leading manufacturing businesses, who will be sharing experiences of their smart factory transformations, which have been supported by Atlas Copco.

With a specific focus on Smart Integrated Assembly, Airbus UK has developed a new approach to modern wing assembly that enhances efficiency, precision and quality in aerospace manufacturing.

McLaren Automotive has adopted Atlas Copco’s advanced tooling range to optimise production and improve the quality of its ultra-high performance supercars. This partnership represents a significant step forward in delivering a seamlessly connected Smart Factory.

Rolls Royce representatives will be discussing how its collaboration with Atlas Copco leverages smart integrated assembly to deliver precision and efficiency in manufacturing. This partnership highlights both companies’ dedication to pushing the boundaries of innovation and quality.

Central to Atlas Copco’s ‘Smart Integrated Assembly’ is the goal of improving quality and productivity, as well as eliminating costly rework and material wastage, in pursuit of more sustainable manufacturing practices across all manufacturing environments.

Atlas Copco’s ‘Smart Integrated Assembly’ is designed to connect digital tools throughout the factory to a customer MES (Manufacturing Execution System). This features the latest 5G connectivity on selected tool models, in order to optimise production, provide full traceability at every stage of the assembly process, whilst reducing energy consumption and strengthening security protocols.
