71% of Yr8 and Yr9 students would now consider working for a tech or engineering-based company after hearing from the Silverstone Park Schools Programme in 2023-24. A further 75% would be interested in working for a company at Silverstone Park. The programme successfully brings employers from the park together with students to advise them about career types and pathways through a series of inspiring workshops and tours of their companies on site. Launched in 2018 in response to local employers’ concerns about the skills gap, c.5,000 young people have now been reached. Plans are already afoot for the 2024-25 academic year.
