New agreement allows GRM to create OptiAssist for Simcenter 3D, a powerful enabler for Simcenter Nastran Design Optimisation. OptiAssist for Simcenter 3D unlocks Design Optimisation to provide focussed workflows for composites, castings and mouldings.
GRM today announced it has integrated its OptiAssist design optimisation environment into Siemens PLM’s Simcenter 3D. As an enabler for Simcenter Nastran’s design optimisation module, OptiAssist for Simcenter 3D brings specific, and powerful, workflows to Simcenter 3D by building on GRM’s expertise in optimisation and composites. For composite engineers, OptiAssist for Simcenter 3D allows optimal ply shape and laminate development to be performed efficiently in Simcenter 3D. Linking seamlessly to Simcenter Laminate Composites, OptiAssist allows engineer integration design optimisation directly into their day-to-day composite analysis process.
For designers of castings and mouldings, OptiAssist for Simcenter 3D provides a clean optimisation workflow to automatically develop the material thickness distribution of components for stiffness, strength and vibration requirements.
